Fantastic First Year in the UKC Breed Ring
We longed for our own ring to show our beautiful, intelligent and versatile White Shepherds and we took advantage of it when we got it. We appreciated the privilege and this is what we did with it. We finished 32 Conformation Champions, and six Grand Champions, had five BIMBS wins and nine RBIMBS wins. Out of the 55 breeds that competed in the Top Ten, we finished fifth in overall total points behind "big hitters" like the American Pit Bull Terrier, the American Eskimo, and the Toy Fox Terrier. Another shepherd, the Belgian, finished just in front of us. Following, is the first White Shepherd Champion and Grand Champion of the new breed, and five more beautiful dogs shown to Grand Champions in our first full year. Top Ten dogs are listed along with our Total Dog Awards, BIMBS, RBIMBS, and performance title achievements. So, for the history books, this is the way it looked.

We are also breeders and owners who strongly believe in the Total Dog concept. We are extremely proud of our first two Total Dogs owned by Denise Mencke: CH UCD Royal's Crowning of Beadog (see picture above) and CH UUD Von Tasz Jack of All Trades who has the distinction of being the only dog with both a conformation championship and a UUD.

At the first Michigan show this year, Jean Reeves' Wytcliff Royal Ruby and Jacki Wheeler's Royal Gracie of Willowwood finished their championships. 

The United White Shepherd Club is extremely proud of their progress this first year. Besides competing in the events mentioned above, a brochure was designed by Christina Tanner and distributed to all the UKC judges and appropriate staff, a Rules and Regulations Seminar was held in Kalamazoo and was well-attended by UWSC members. Ronda Beaupre created a website for our club and invites new members to submit information about themselves that will appear on a free member page. The Club had a booth at the UKC Premier show and we hosted a microchip clinic for all breeds which was handled by Denise Mencke. The first UKC show to be sponsored by the UWSC is in the planning states for later this year.
